Greenland’s party leaders have rejected President Donald Trump’s calls for the U.S. to take control of the island.

"We don't want to be Americans," Greenland's political parties said after US President Donald Trump again suggested using force to seize the mineral-rich Danish autonomous territory.

'He's talking about us as if we are just some kind of tool,' said Bay-Kastrup, who is originally from Denmark. 'This is disrespectful toward our country and toward our citizens.'
